World Championship 2010 – Congratulations to Steve Davis
Steve Davis made history today. He beat defending champion, and provisional number 1, John Higgins in a match that was pure drama, causing what is perhaps the biggest shock ever at the Crucible. Reaching the quarters of the most prestigious and most demanding tournament of the season at 52 is some achievement! John Higgins as always showed great sportsmanship and was full of praise for his conqueror. Congratulations Steve!

Congratulations to Mark J. Williams, China Open 2010 Champion
Mark J. Williams is back in the winning circle after four years, with a 10-6 victory over Ding Junhui. It was a very high quality contest and a awsome display of snooker from both players.
Mark declared : “I’m over the moon to win again. It’s been a long time coming but I’ve kept working hard and I felt that in the end the results would come,”
China Open 2010 – Ronnie 3 – 5 Tian Pengfei
Ronnie bowed out of the China Open 2010 in first round, losing 3 – 5 to wildcard Tian Pengfei. He said “I thought I played ok, there were just two or three frames that I lost from a long way ahead, when Tian made good clearances, I had a chance for 4-4 but I missed too many balls at crucial times.”
“I felt relaxed and my preparation was as good as it could have been, but I wasn’t the better player on the night. I try hard and play to win every match, but if my form is not great I will struggle against good opposition. Apart from Shanghai and the UK Championship, this season I have been below the standard I set myself.”
Let’s hope Ronnie can find some form for the World Championship that is only a bit more than two weeks away.
